Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using the SORT IT Training Platform (the “Platform”), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the Platform.

2. User Responsibilities

You agree to provide accurate registration information, to keep your contact details current, and to use the Platform only for lawful, educational, and research purposes consistent with the SORT IT mission.

3. Account Security

You are responsible for safeguarding your credentials and for all activity under your account. Notify us immediately at info@sortitresearch.com of any unauthorised use. Choose a strong, unique password and do not share it.

4. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

  • Upload content that is unlawful, defamatory, or infringes any third party rights
  • Attempt to gain unauthorised access to any part of the Platform or other users' accounts
  • Interfere with the operation of the Platform (e.g. denial-of-service, scraping at scale, malware)
  • Use the Platform to harass, threaten, or impersonate others
  • Reverse engineer, decompile, or copy the Platform other than as permitted by law

5. Intellectual Property

The Platform, including its design, code, training materials, and the SORT IT name and logo, is owned by SORT IT or its licensors. Content you upload remains yours; you grant SORT IT a limited licence to host, display, and process it for the purpose of delivering the training programme you participate in.

6. Research Content Disclaimer

Training materials, lessons, and any AI-assisted suggestions are provided for educational purposes only and do not constitute medical, legal, or other professional advice. Research outputs produced through the Platform are the responsibility of the participants who create them.

7. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, SORT IT and its contributors shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential, or punitive damages, or for loss of data, profits, or goodwill, arising out of your use of the Platform. The Platform is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind.

8. Account Suspension & Termination

We may suspend or terminate access to the Platform if you breach these Terms, if required by law, or if your continued use would put other users or the Platform at risk. You may close your account at any time by contacting us — see our Privacy Policy for what happens to your data on deletion.

9. Privacy

Your use of the Platform is also governed by our Privacy Policy and Cookie Policy.

10. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be communicated through the Platform. Continued use of the Platform after a change constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

11. Governing Law

The SORT IT Platform is developed and maintained by the Tuberculosis Research and Prevention Center NGO (TBRPC), based in the Republic of Armenia and a long-standing SORT IT implementing partner of TDR/WHO. These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Armenia, without regard to its conflict of laws rules. Nothing in these Terms limits any mandatory consumer-protection rights you may have under the laws of your country of residence.
